Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information: when you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) stores your email address and login credentials. We never see or store your password.
• Waitlist information: if you join a waitlist, we store the email address you provide.
• Survey answers: if you choose to take our optional, one-time questionnaire, we store only your multiple-choice answers about your interests and habits. The survey is anonymous — it asks for no name, email, or anything that identifies you, and your answers are not linked to your account or to you.
• Usage and content data: the opportunities, decisions, watchlists, and alerts you create in the app, scoped to your account.
• Technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.

We never connect to your money

ProfitSignal is a discovery and information tool. It has no ability to place trades, hold funds, or move money, and we never ask for your brokerage or exchange credentials. There are no trading keys in the product to lose.

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the service, including generating your daily briefing.
• To secure your account and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To send the account, security, and (if you opt in) report emails you expect.
• To improve ProfitSignal using aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information — your email, account, or anything that identifies you. We share that data only with the service providers who help us run ProfitSignal, and only as needed to deliver the service.

The one exception is fully anonymous research. The optional questionnaire collects only multiple-choice answers and contains no personal information. We may share, license, or sell those anonymous, aggregated survey results to third parties (such as companies in the financial and crypto industries) as market research. Because the data identifies no one, it cannot be traced back to you. Taking the survey is entirely optional, and you can decline or skip it at any time.

Service providers we rely on

• Clerk — secure user authentication and login.
• Supabase — encrypted database hosting for your account data.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Resend — delivery of account and report emails.
• Market and data feeds (such as public crypto, rate, and market-data APIs) used to generate signals. These are queried for public information and are not given your personal data.

Data security

Connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Your data is scoped to your account at the database level. Secret keys live only on our servers and are never shipped to your browser. No service can promise a breach will never happen, but we work to reduce that risk.

Your rights and choices

• Access and correction: view and update your account information at any time.
• Deletion: delete your account and associated data at any time.
• Marketing: opt out of non-essential emails while still receiving important account messages.
• Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights. Contact us to exercise them.

Children’s privacy

ProfitSignal is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will update the “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email.
